Using TS 4.0 with Windows XP Home

Hi All,

It's been awhile since I've been on this list. Was very active in the late 90's.

I wonder if someone can help me...

Background: I've used TS 4.0 with Win98 and a 233 mhz computer since 1998. I've had 4.0 since the beginning. Been trading since 1978 and have day traded the S&P 500 exclusively since '92. I just bought a new P3
2.4ghz computer with XP Home.

The problem is getting 4.0 to see the security block with XP. I've tried all of the procedures from the Omega "Knowledgebase" that has a three page document explaining how to modify the files for XP/4.0, etc. But
after carefully following its procedure I still get "Security block missing". I ran the dongle speed test they suggest and see "activator found", and get settings that said, Set SSI_ACT=3,2,80. I entered those and all the other files asked several times. Still NG. The computer appears to "see" the dongle, but TS 4.0 does not. [I paid
$1,500 for TS 4.0 and the dongle matches the CD]

I even tried using the old "BaseDRV, Safecoop" etc, crack files that successfully eliminated the dongle on my Win 98/ 233 mhz machine, but still the same, "security block missing".

Is anyone having luck getting their machine to run 4.0 with XP, or is this a hopeless cause? If not, what would you suggest? Maybe a new crack for XP?

I could stay with the old machine, but was hoping to use the new one.

Help!
