[EquisMetaStock Group] Re: Why is MSFL so constraining?

Equis has looked at this many times and basically there are so few
people that want to write custom programs, they don't see a need for
expanding the formula language or providing more programming options.
There is no financial return for them.

A few people like Roy have developed an expert level of programming
skill with MSFL and can do the majority of things anyone would want to
do. For a nominal fee, Roy can program what you need. Considering how
much money you'll make from your custom programs, the cost of Roy's
services are like paying a small, barely noticeable brokerage fee.

If do it yourself programming is really important to you, then you can
use a program like Trade Station, which has a complete spaghetti
programming language called EasyLanguage built-in. It can use Dll's
also, but it's more like Pascal because it's procedural, so it's much
more flexible than a formula language like MSFL.

Super
