It's not the number of symbols you have open. It's the updating delays
that are being caused by the extreme volatility, volume fluctuations
and the trade pricing. It's also going to take longer for final price
adjustments at the end of the day so if someone updates their EOD data
too early after the close, they'll find changes in it the next day.
No big deal. Just a fact of life in this kind of trading market. I was
getting unusual spikes in my esignal data the last hour of the market
today.
MS warns of data problems (too frequently sometimes) so if someone is
trading off of 5 minute, 1 minute or tick data, they'll know the
prices on the chart are not accurate.
I've also had more MS freeze ups than usual the last couple of days. A
lot of MS locking up is due to disruptions in the data flow or screw
ups in indicator and expert formula calculations.
