Re: US stock data file conversion

I use an Excel97 macro to create a new *.csv containing the stocks I want in
the order I want.

It uses match() function to copy codes from an MS exploration of my
database. This speeds up converting considerably as the codes are in the
exact same order in the database and the new *.csv (eliminating swapping
backwards and forwards between directories).

On the Australian market (<3000 codes in original .csv) I update 1900 daily,
macro forms new .csv in about 45 seconds, converts into MS 4 minutes +.
(200Pentium).

Unfortunately the macro is included in a 1meg file, inappropriate for
posting. If you use Excel and are interested I could extract the pertinent
section.
