This picture is based on DJIA data from 
1921 to now.
 
It uses a 34 bar detection 
scheme.
 
ALL swings which come out of a #8 pattern 
(the real
definition of an upgoing triangle) are 
shown for
this 80 year period -- for triangles of 
this magnitude
there are less than one every two years -- 
would you
believe that ??????
 
Anyhow, for all practical purposes the 
results are
50/50 so you can see why no honest man 
would want to
say that someone who says 95% is the rate 
would not
want to do so as Tim noted.
