I haven't resorted to the harddrive reformat. I was hoping there was an
alternate method so that I could keep my current setup. I reformatted my
harddrive 3 months ago when I had a similar problem, but backing up my
files, reformatting, and reinstalling win2k and tradestation 2000i seems
like such a drastic and tedious step. Is there no other way?
It seems amazing to me that the globalserver is as unstable as it is.

Did you try reformatting the hard drive?
I've tried for years to build up a data library. I finally gave up on the
idea and buy it from tick data now. I never make it more than a year without
the kind of thing you described happening.
