If you work with NT as a programmer, you will
find that they purposely break things.

Imagine if you brought a Microsoft lamp,
and it made your light bulb from
GE explode because it had a deal
with Sylvania. And, only Microsoft
sells lamps. And Sylvania bulbs
are crap and you want to use GE
bulbs. That's what Microsoft does.
Is that ok? Is that a free market?
No, that's a bully.

I work for a medical ultrasound
company. Can you imagine being
in heart surgery, with a transducer
down your throat and the system
crashes, and the medical team
tries to restart it and a minute
later when you are dead, it
puts up a dialog that it
can't shutdown some task?

They get away with it because most people
don't work at a low enough level to
see the damage, or don't think that
a company would actually do that.

And they think that those of us who do
are nuts or are making it up.

I wish I was.
