There is a known bug in UMDS 2, that apparently will not be fixed, having 
to do with the database getting too large. Kent thinks the problem kicks in 
about 4G, although I think it starts at a lower number. Until that happens, 
in my experience it is very reliable. I do my own archiving, so I just make 
sure that I start with a fresh version of UMDS when the database size gets 
into the danger zone.

I believe the fears about the future of ver 3 may well be accurate. Kent 
apparently has a nice business going with the exchanges and doesn't seem to 
want to service "retail" customers.

I'm interest in serious replacements; e.g., Quote.com, PCQuote, etc.
