RE: Printing Charts with version 6.52

If print preview is not showing a chart the printer driver/video combination
is not working well together.

If the illegal operation you receive is a 10h error then it has to do with
the printer driver setting the processor for software error trapping when
the software is looking for hardware error trapping. HP decided they wanted
to use software error trapping when the specifications used to call for
hardware error trapping. Anyway, for some reason, if you have Word for
Windows open, it can be minimized and not doing anything, this seems to keep
the driver reset at hardware and the 10h does not occur.

Version 7.0 has special code to reset the processor after every line to
avoid this problem. It seems to be working.

Subject: Re: Printing Charts with version 6.52

This has to be a bug in ver 6.52. I also have the problem now of getting a
blank graph when I "preview" the chart before printing (my RAM is 128 megs).

I did not have this problem with ver 6.5. If I go to the setup print and do
nothing but click "OK" , I can get the chart in print preview and it prints.

However when I go to open the next chart, I get an "illegal operation has
been performed" and I need to close Metastock and re-open it again. I can
then load the next chart. Has Metastock ever commented on this problem?
