Pirate Prosuite? 1/2

Dear List

I need your expert eye: I need to know whether the two Prosuite 2000i CDs I
have are fake or not.

Background: I recently took the plunge and upgraded from TS4 to Prosuite
2000i courtesy of an ebay purchase that looked bonafide at the time (seller
showed photos etc). After a few weeks of happy usage I suddenly got the
following error upon startup: "See \sq0.e for details on duplicate keys
and/or bad serial numbers" and all my historical data was wiped off my hard
drive. Fortunately I was able to reinstate the data without having to
reinstall Prosuite. Suspicions aroused, I took a close look at the Prosuite
CDs I had bought and I now think they may be clever counterfeits: at first
glance they look okay, but when you look a little more closely the fonts and
graphics that are printed on the CDs all look slightly "jagged". The same
sort of effect you get if you photocopy a document too many times down the
line. I've never ever come across a mainstream software company whose CDs
appeared jagged in this way. CDs also have a 13 digit number emblazoned at
the center.

I've taken a high quality photo of each CD. I have attached three small
excerpts (apologies for leaning on bandwidth). The images are totally
representative of what you see when you hold the CD in your hand, and are
not a limitation of the camera. Please could someone take out their
original Prosuite CDs and compare to the pics and let me know. I can send
the complete image privately if need be. Need to make a claim with ebay if
not bona fide.

Many thanks
Rhetus
