My opinion is use maxtor or ibm for internal hard drives. Use 7200 RPM or
10,000 RPM.
Have a case with at least 2 fans.
  Use AMD.
As of now, use a motherboard with the KT 266A! NOT the KT 266 or AMD
761?
I have also put the USB 2.0 cards in all of my computers and now have 2
USB 2.0 hard drives and one USB 2.0 CD-RW drive that can be used with all of
my computers. I use Buslink USB 2.0 drives. I now have no CD-RW drives in
my computers. I only use USB 2.0 drives. Fast, easy, and only need one
drive for all computers.
