Just curious -- what version of Windows were you running, Michael?
Jerry ? Did you try running a different version? Is is possible that
IB has subsequently fixed the problem, since they keep updating the
app (maybe they've subsequently found the problem?)?

I have had IB's TWS freeze up on me, but I basically figured out that
I tried to start something else on the app (hit the blinking message
window) -- while it was still loading my page. I know that I have had
problems with windows (I was running win98) if I tried to start another
process while a first one was still "coming up". In prior versions of
Windows that used the freeze the whole machine; at least now it only
freezes the app.  If they (windows? IB?) are using a threaded
programming model, creating deadlocks when executing more than 1 thread
is pretty easy to do, from what I've read. FWIW.
