I had WoW Pro v5 for a short time before getting a refund. Among small
redrawing problems, I found WoW has a major error with its System Tester.
Set the Trailing stop at 45%, Max Loss 18%, Break even at 25%, then set the
commission to $1. I don't believe the type of system or stop values matter,
as long as they are above 0. I used the Bollinger Band and Stochastics %D
with Threshold at 50 systems with DELL as the security. Run them and print
out the System Test Performance Reports. Change the commission to $18 but
leave everything the same.

WoW Pro defines a trade as entering a position and exiting. Therefore, the
total commission cost should be: (Cost of 1 trade) x (Total no. of trades) x
2 - (cost of 1 trade if position is open at end of test). At $1 per trade,
the commission total will be correct and, hopefully, the results of the test
are also correct. At $18 per trade, you will find the commission total is
NOT correct and the results of the test are also not correct. I never
bothered to vary the commission costs above $1, since $18 will be my cost.
Chances are, the totals won't be correct anyway and who cares (heh heh).
Someone has got to tell those poor slob WoW Pro v5 users what's going on.

If anyone does the above and finds different results let me know. Although I
don't use WoW Pro v5 anymore, I am curious to see if anyone gets different
results.

Daniel Martinez.

<< Hi Borys,

I started to use WOW three years ago and purchased MS only 6 month ago.
  Both of them have advantages.
 What I like in WOW:
 1. It will automatically give me the signals on my systems or alerts after
I download the data. I did not find this feature in MS.
 2. I can change easily (right mouse click) the parameters of my indicators
and systems and I can use the indicators that I built with different
parameters on different commodities. They work as variables and not as
 constants.
 3. If I have more than one commodity in one chart (like different month or
different exchange) than I can read the OHLC for each of them separately.
MS gives you only the one that the original chart was created from.

The drawing capabilities are much better in MS.

Fortunately I can use the files from MS, so it's OK to collect the data
with the Downloader and read the files from the MS format.

If you are starting to learn both of them than learn MS, because the
learning curve is more worth to use for MS. It does not have the bugs that
WOW just can't get out of his/her system.
Once you learned it and have time and need than you can experiment with WOW
 if you need.

If you have any other specific question please send me a note.

Anyone familiar with both, Metastock as well as Window on WallStreet?
In my search for a software that would fit my needs I came down to those
two, but now I am having serious problems trying to decide which one is
gonna get
my $$$. :-)
Any input that would help me to make a decision would be greatly
appreciated.
