Select only one of your date fields. Click your mouse on the Function wizard ( fx ). In the function wizard select date from the category list. Click Ok. Type the year, month and date of the selected field date. Click Ok/Finish. your first date has to be in the metastock format now . Next you select the converted date box. Drag the square box on the right lower corner down to convert all the rest of your data.
That's all. Very simple when you know it, if you don't you may loose a lot of sleepless nights.
