I guess we can agree to disagree. However, I do not feel as if I am being
punished. A flat tax is absolutely and completely a nauseating, disgusting
and abhorrent thing. And believe me, it would help me a lot.

I disagree with your implication that not lowering taxes for the
superwealthy was not such a bad thing. Al Gore and the dems keep repeating
this mantra of tax cuts for the wealthiest one percent to divide the
America. It is uncritically accepted. In fact, they are against tax cuts
for the highest income producers in this country. They are not necessary the
wealthiest 1%. There is a difference. So, keeping on punishing the most
productive and highest income producing members of our society keeps them
from becoming the wealthiest 1%. That IMHO cannot be good for our future.
