It is the nature of the market to "defeat" all and every attempt to predict
its future behavior based on the past. (On the short term bases. Long
terms, not only "all of us will be dead" but, hopefully, the nation will
survive, industry will expend and the market will continue to go up with
that expansion). Market could only exist so long as it is successful in its
"war" against prediction. But the market has "inertia": it is not as quick
in changing patterns as would not allow some shrewd (or lucky) men to make
some money.
