Im using the free 'Yahoo & Google Quotes Downloader'...

...to download ascii stock data for use in 2000i. It's wonderful for looking at just a few symbols.

Trying to create a symbol list for ascii data in 2000i is brutal though.

2000i requires to individually click on each symbol in your directory to include it in the symbol list - no 'select all' option - holding shift or ctrl doesn't work either.

Then once you have your symbols selected - 2000i requires you to click in the Data settings field order (ie V,O,H,L,C) and date format for each symbol, and then click 'ok' again when the symbol universe dialog box pops up.

If you are trying to do something like import all the S&P600 stocks into a symbol list this becomes prohibitively brutal.

Anyone know of a workaround?

Thanks,

Lance
