Re: Cable vs DSL

I used to run dual wan with rollover in case one failed.
Cable was wan 1, dsl was on wan 2.
cable went out so often, and was such a pain, that I reconfigured
my router and put dsl on wan 1, and cable on wan 2.
guess what? since I did that, I have NEVER had an outage- ever-
on my dsl (fingers crossed) I finally pulled the plug and dumped the cable,
as it is useless-
and now I am running only the dsl. If it ever goes out, I will take the day
off.
Just hope that if and when it does, I don't have too large a position on and
it's not a fast market-
One could argue that you should keep the backup- but my dsl has dialup modem
capabilty for emergencies
Best,
Marc
