The status "Connect status: initialized" means initialization was not completed. Check data Manager window, if GS was connected there should be status "Connected clients: 1". If not, I would suggest to check firewall again.

P.S. There are not any compatibility errors with running TradeStation or eSignal on Vista computers. If you turn off User account control Vista works like Windows XP. But once trouble happened with one of our user: he was not able to turn off UAC: though he checked off this option, Vista did not turn option off. Probably that is your case?

Thanks for your kind reply.

Before reading your reply, I was sure that eSignal's Data Manager was connected but not sure on the GlobalServer. Following your suggestions, I did check the [Performance] page in GlobalServer. It shows as, DataFeed: DBC Online, Connect status: initialized, etc. It appears that everything is OK as well.

I was frustrated with the "Not Connected" status in the <Real-Time Status> column on the [Symbol Portfolio] page of GlobalServer. Maybe I misunderstood what that "Not Connected" status behind each symbol really means? After all, my installation was taken place after the market session on Friday night.

In few hours, the Globex will resume nightly trading. By that time, if I don't receive any data for SP U7 and NQ U7, then I would switch back to my TS4 + Dynastore + eSignal setting.

Hango,

In the Global Server performance tab you show Connect status "Not
Connected"? If so what does it show above that under DataFeed? I
should be DBC Online. If not click on tools and run set up again. BE
SURE you choose to save your symbols and data. If you show DBC
Online and you show connected then go to the Symbol Portfolio and
right click and hold the right click as you highlight the symbols and
drag to the end of the list. Then left click and choose connect
symbol. If all this fails be sure esignal data manager show to be
connected in it's little window. I think that is all there is that
can be wrong. Well you could turn the firewall off just to be sure it
isn't the problem. How many firewalls do you have. It is best to
only run one firewall.
