Hi Marc,
Thanks for sharing.  You probably have a very intense system activity to
require such high computing power and RAM.  My activity that I have
described works well even in my currently corrupt OS environment w/o
crashing.  That is why I was thinking of the Dimension Celeron which is at
4x the power of my current processor, the RAM usage never going above 300MB
out of the 1GB installed.  But if the architecture of the Celeron is truely
inferior (and thus its performance and dependability) from its Pentium
counterpart, then I would avoid it...that is what I am trying to find out
from those that may have had terrible experience with Celerons! Were your
crashes frequent with a Celeron processor and what was its speed?
