The type of RAM you use has ZERO impact on application stability.
NONE!  This is similar to the way Omega tech support blames
application errors on un-defragged hard drives.  Fragged hard drives
have ZERO impact on application stability.  NONE!  ZIP!  NADA!

If you have a bad memory cell, it doesn't matter whether it is DDR or
SDRAM or FPM.  Either the machine will lockup or your applications
will crash.  Period.  It doesn't matter whether you're running NotePad
or Mathematica.

You should make the choice of what type of RAM to use based on
measureable performance, cost of RAM, and type of main CPU supported.
Nothing else.
