You are not using the UMDS version of DynaStore.

There is a crucial difference between DynaStore for UMDS and the version
you are using for Quote.com. DynaStore for UMDS has to use the UsDDE
utility included with UMDS. Typically, a stock like INTC will collect
around 22k ticks in a day using UMDS and UsDDE with TS4, while BMI cable
will collect around 120k ticks with TS4. Yes, that's six times as many
ticks from BMI cable. Meanwhile, on a typical day, TS2Ki running directly
from DTN collects around 266k quotes (over twice what BMI cable/TS4
collects).

Dmitri told me the smaller number of ticks using TS4 with DynaStore happens
because the UsDDE server posts the updates once per second, and, if some
stock has several ticks in a second (like INTC for example), DynaStore will
receive only the latest. Dmitri is working on a new version for UMDS that
will not need the UsDDE server, but meanwhile, collecting a fraction of the
actual ticks does not instill confidence in systems used for trading.

Has nothing to do with Comstock.
