Not all versions of Dynastore use the USDDE. The version for DTN satellite
does use the USDDE. The version for Q Feed does not. The "older" version
of UMDS application guide specifies a 1 second interval for the USDDE. The
newer version apparantly captures all the ticks but still dumps them in a
burst at update time(need someone with an system programmer guide to clear
that up). Even the Dynastore programmer acknowledges the USDDE is a tick
sink and he has been promising an API version of UMDS/Dynastore/GS/TS2k for
6 months now. Keeps saying it will be available next week. Tick loss is
also verified by comparing ES tick counts through
dtn/umds/usdde/dynastore/gs/ts versus dtn/gs/ts. The USDDE is the culprit.
