Re: Quote.com data

PureBytes Links

Trading Reference Links

I dunno, only do real time, with their charts. charts are great, far far
superior to Omega. I run pcQuote feed into Omega. It was ratty late last
year until about March. Then Quote.com got crappy, so much so that I never
even tried the Dynasotore converter to feed Omega.
Just opened a new account with a broker that provides RediBook order entry &
level II; we'll have to wait & see how the charting is. I'll probably end
up with 2 more systems running in parallel with the 3 present ones. Joy
joy. At least the Linksys setup works beter than the data feeds so far. 8-/

Thanks for the tip. Are you only talking about intraday realtime, or do the
gaps exist if you download tick data at the end of the day also?

Kent, before you jump to quote.com to solve missing ticks, best wait a bit
if you do options or indexes or futures. They have had severe gaps and
bursts, server outages, log-on failures and reliability problems for the
past 6 months, Its not better with version 4.0 just released. Check the
egroups postings before you commit.

TW doesn't use DDE. It uses
<snip>
TW also works with Quote.com which I don't have but am considering for use
in conjunction with a Quote.com downloader (http://www.mechtrading.com/)
just so I can keep my tick data up to date. With the limited amount of
ticks coming across Signal Cable into my TS4 and the fact that it will
probably be phased out before long, I've got to set myself up for a longer
term solution. UMDS 2.0 is worse than TS2k for data import/export because
it doesn't even have data import! Kent Gryzich of UMDS fame says that this
has been a major complaint that he's received so UMDS 3.0 will allegedly
have import/export.
