I tried the Pitbull strategy several years ago without much luck. It
takes (or took, in its incarnation at that time) a LOT of discretion,
and definitely would not be programmable. Don't know about his book.
I'm starting to look at another methodology that claims to be totally
mechanical -- though it would be difficult to program since it relies
on the Investor's Business Daily relative strength rankings. They
have quite a high win%, and the manual costs only $60. I'm quite
certain the vendor is not your typical sleazoid marketer -- it turns
out the woman who wrote this lives 1/2 mile from me. She's a 75 year
old grannie who invited me over for tea and cookies and showed me
some of her results! :-) I haven't had a chance to read through it
