AW: Trailing stops are invalid

Uh oh, our friend PO losing his nerves here, did I touch a sensible point???

To help you better understand my position:

1 - I did read the chapters in question. In fact I read them all inside out. So
I found the relevant page(s) thank you.

2 - I had no problems with stops not working as expected as I switchted to a
multiple data setup 5min intraday data and daily data. Signals were read on
daily, executed on intraday.

3 - I understand there is no other way to deal with trailing stops in Eod data

4 - I have never found a convincing mechanical system myself.

5 - I have never seen a really convincing mechanical system I could give my
broker to trade including yours my friend.

6 - By convincing system I mean one I can put on Cac 30min or Sp 5min or Gold
daily or Tbonds weekly and see it generate three or 4 times drawdown after each
series of 200 trades. This system has to be implementable in the real world and
show real time performance for 2 years absolutely comparable to past tests.

7 - And yet I have successfully traded systems which are not successful
themselves in terms of P&L, but are quite stable in their behavior. I took all
entries, but added a few personal twists on a: execution and b: exits. This
amounts to several thousand contacts traded on TBonds that way, AND living
exclusively off that. i no longer do so because it was too stressful and my
current way of doing things brings me a better long term return with a lower
risk level.

8 - I don't sell anything and hence don't need to convince anyone I am right. I
might be wrong even, and have been so quite a few times. I only share what I
did, which work(ed)s for me and which anyone is free to imitate or to refute as
pleases in their own trading.

9 - I am happy with the returns I get on my money, and I don't need TS to
achieve this.

10 - I don't say TS is good or bad, I say it is a tool that is hyped up, and
say one should not expect too much from it, as trading success is not TS ind
ependant anyway.

11 - As for Omega, they are not the kind of company I invest my own money on.
Pretending and doing are two different things. It is better to listen and do
however imperfectly then to pretend and remain unable to learn from feedback.

12 - I don't expect you to criticize your own source of income though, so there
is no need to try to convince me I am wrong. I know what I did, how and why it
worked, what I do now, how and why it works, the rest might be interesting but
is irrelevant in terms of effective results to me.
