Re: Jurik Moving Average

I use JMA extensively in price studies that I do. In the nn work that I do,
I can't imagine how much more difficult things would be if I didn't use JMA.

Because JMA plays such an important role in my market studies, I read every
note posted on this list and others about other people's experience with it
in the hope that I might learn additional things about using it more
effectively. I pay close attention to this.

Robert: What you've written below is just nonsense. There HAVE NOT been
many (if any) bad posts about Jurik's JMA indicator from folks who actually
own and use the indicator. Fact is, this is not the first time you've
expressed your opposition to Mark Jurik not providing a free demo of his
software. I have no problem with your posting your view on this. What I
think is unfortunate, however, is a post from you which mischaracterizes the
fact that the posts from actual users of JMA have been extremely positive.
(I can't remember a user of JMA criticizing it or Jurik Research. If you
can point one out to us Robert, please do so.)

Ian: Search the Omega-List archives. Pay attention to WHO the people are
on the list that are willing to make positive statements about JMA. IMO,
you can't get a much better lineup of references.regarding some product than
the recent postings of Allan Kaminsky, Timothy Morge, and (within the last
month or two) Bob Fulks. What should you make of Robert's comments below?
Just note the kind of logic that Robert uses to make his point and you
decide whether he's worth paying attention to: You wrote your inquiry about
JMA early in the day on 9/13/99. Robert responds to your inquiry (even
though he has NO actual experience with JMA) within just a few hours and
implies that since no one has said positive things about JMA in just a few
hours that's "indication enough" that the product and/or Jurik Research
isn't of value.

'nuff said.
