I'm probably a genius (and I was not aware of this before you post).
I always succeeded to find out the answer from the manual and / or with a
little verification  when things were seeming unclear.

All the sofware industry works like this.
TradeLab has been announced for may june  1998 too.
Not to speak of Daytrader Pro

Yes.
The document is outdated (and also has some errors)
You can verify thit by editing TS_KIT.H

I'm not a C specialist.
We use a C++ compiler of course, but we do not use the C++ features to build
DLL's.
