I have created a set of Metastock files with the Excel data that you sent out.

 

To do this I used the Makems package from Paul Gerhart that you can obtain a copy of from his website ( the cost could be around $30) - you can also download a free copy with restrictions to see how this works.

 

I have set this up as a Master, which would be held within a specific file say BPDEC.

 

Concerning the date format you have used i.e. 2004-06-24, you can use YYYYMMDD but have to choose between comma, tab or space.

 

For the attached sample I have selected 'comma'.

Kindly find along with this email excel attachment.  I want to convert the excel file into metastock file format to view data in metastock software.  File contains historical price of Black Pepper - Dec "2004 contract.

 

Also kindly let me know whether there any free software available for converting any files to metastock format.
