<<Does anyone trade using Donchian Channels, or trade using turtle methods
(very similar I think). What are your results like ? I`ve ran a few tests
in Metastock on the world Indicies, and it has produced quite good results.>>
The Donchian channel was originated for futures, though like many technical indicators or systems they can be applied to either stocks or futures. I did a lot of testing of the Donchian channel 5 or 6 years ago, and did not see a consistent positive result so abandoned it. The basic Donchian system is to always be in the market and to buy or sell the 2 week break out. However, I do think that some type of modification of this method has potential.
