Hi Lionel,

The System Tester will run on whatever's loaded in the chart that you have it applied to.  The
only way to change the dates is to change the chart:  Double click the X-Axis on the chart, and
adjust the "Dates Loaded" accordingly in the dialogue box.

I don't have V7.2, so I'm speaking off the cuff here.  I expect most of the included systems are
fairly simple crossovers of a single indicator.  You will find that these show results with very
wide variations, and depending on the amount of data or which markets you run them on.  Applying
the same to a portfolio of stocks will "smooth" the variability in your results while decreasing
your big winners and improving upon your poor performers: basically, the averaging effect.  You
are probably seeing only a snapshot based on your data loaded, and hence, the apparently anomalous
results.
