Re: Multiple monitors in Win98

I use win98 with both Sony and Compaq monitors with an Appian Graphics Duet
video card. The Comp USA guy is wrong since both monitors are different
(19" and 17") and the system works great. Identical monitors does simplify
things, but are not essential. Appian tech support was extremely helpful,
spending approx. an hour on the phone to set it up since the Presario's
proprietary system does not allow for physically removing the old card , so
some adjustment in the registry was necessary. Been using the setup for
about a year circa win95- win98 beta-win98.with no problems. Any dual
monitor video card worth its salt is going to be expensive (about $700) but
worth it in competent tech support and hardware. Can only speak about
Appian and they could be the best................russ
