Divide by the following ...

=ROWS(C3:C20)-COUNTIF(C3:C20,"")

 

where range(C3:C20) includes the actual data

Hi Jerry,

I ran into a similar problem. I added an extra column that had a 0 or
1 if the date should be counted. I can't remember now, but I think I
automatically generated that column based on some other data, but it
could be filled in by hand also.
