Hello,

Please don't give up! AFL is not THAT complicated.
In fact (after a little bit of training) you can experiment with
different formulas very quickly.
As an example I can say that I recently experiment with
Random Walk Index. Of course there is no such indicator in AmiBroker
(even in my in-development, private version 3.38 :-) ).
And the formula for this indicator is *QUITE* complicated.
I first wanted to code it in C++ but then I realized that it will be
much faster and easier to write it in AFL. It took just a minute
and the formula was ready so I could start with checking
my new system performance right then instead of spending hours
coding it in any other language.

But.. I agree that a little tutorial would be nice....

I see that there are some areas where AmiBroker users need more help,
first (for beginners) is how to update the quotes using various data sources,
and the second is AFL.

Frankly speaking writing documentation is not my favourite job, but..
there is no other way.
By the way, to everyone: could you please share with your experience with the other users
on this mailing list? Please speak up.

Best regards,
Tomasz Janeczko
