Good advice. Make sure that the UPS has surge protection capabilities (some
cheaper models don't). Also, the best situation is where you have a
physically separated line from the breaker box to your computer.
Alternatively, don't place the PC and any big variable load (like an A/C) on
the same wire from the breaker box.
