Re: Anyone had successfully create a good trading system using MarkJurik's Indicators?

The question made perfect sense to me. I would have understood a complaint
about a system off the shelf being purchased and not making money, but an
indicator...? Come on. Picks and shovels. Picks and shovels. Picks and
shovels.

Okay, I should explain my somewhat cryptic "why." I was wondering if he
purchased the indicators because he had identified a need and they
filled it. OR, was it simply a purchase because it seemed like the thing
to do, assuming he could just throw them on a chart and a profitable
system would make itself apparent.

Indicators are like tools. Buying the best tools in the world won't help
you build a house if you don't know the basics of house building and
what tools might be used for that job. You could go buy an imported
precision metal lathe - a wonderful tool - but maybe you would be better
served with a hammer and saw from Home Depot if you want to build some
walls.

Does he know what Mark's excellent indicators measure? Does he know
which stock TS indicators do something similar? Does he know why Mark's
are "better?" All basic questions that need to be answered before he can
hope to "create a good trading system."
