Okay, now you've gone and opened the can of worms..... :-)

EL doesn't know anything about unchanged ticks. They are all either
upticks or downticks in Omega's infinite wisdom.

In TS4, if the last tick was an uptick and this tick is unchanged, it
will be counted as an uptick as well. Likewise, if the last tick was a
downtick and this tick is unchanged, it will be counted as a downtick.

When TS2K was released, it didn't work the same way. As I recall (I
could be wrong) it counted all unchanged ticks as upticks. Anyway, lots
of people complained about it. I don't know if it ever got
fixed/changed.

TS6? Who knows?

Bottom line, if you are counting upticks and downticks, use the print
log and do lots of testing to see exactly what is going on. Different
data feeds and different TS versions may give very different results for
the same code.

My own experience with Blau's tick stuff on TS4 was I got VERY different
results on the big SP future and the mini ES, using the same data feed,
because of the difference in the number of ticks and the way they are
reported. Of the two, I thought the mini was probably more reliable but
I decided it was too tempermental to be useful for trading.
