Re: Mr. Myxx and Oddball?

Depending on your particular tweak of oddball, it produces an average trade
of 2 to 5 SP points. If it became popular enough that the pit took notice,
they could certainly effect the quality of your oddball fills, without
having to move the nyse. If an ob buy is approaching at the top of the
hour, they run the price up a couple of points, then sell to the ob masses
and move the price back down. This doesn't "break" the oddball system
itself, but it reduces the performance from 2-5 pts per trade to 0-3 pts per
trade.

Questin is: will ob garner enough interest to create a predicable surge of
trades at predictable times? I doubt it. Small account traders won't
create enough size to interest the pit. Bigger players will soon tweak
their ob system to avoid the crowd, if the crowd was thought to be hurting
their fills.

All imho.
