"Using EasyLanguage 2000i" by Putt & Brower.  Got mine on ebay for about $30
and it has been instrumental in accelerating the learning curve.  The
printed Omega manuals are okay as an introduction but not really adequate
for more advanced stuff.

EZL is pretty simple to learn if you've ever done any programming in Basic,
or any other language for that matter.  Of course you never stop learning,
but the point is you can start to get results fairly quickly with EZL.
