The Coppock curve was meant to be used with an index like the DJIA. Hence it
would probably work with any other group index.
It was much better at determining bottoms than at determining tops.
The Coppock curve was published in Barons around 40 years ago. At the time
it was a significant development. The markets have changed a lot since the
1960s.
