Amit ... your problem indeed seems strange.

However, I had a similar (not identical) issue, and was suggested by Equis support to remove the registry settings.

This is a copy paste from their mail, which fortunately I had stored.

-----
The Windows Registry settings for MetaStock may be damaged. Try
deleting the Register as follows:

Start Windows.

Hold down the <CTRL>+<SHIFT> keys.

While holding <CTRL>+<SHIFT>, launch MetaStock (Start | Programs | Equis
International | MetaStock or double click on desktop shortcut).

Continue holding these keys down until a question appears, asking if you
want to delete your user settings.

Let go of the keys and answer Yes.

After that another question comes up about a user name not found. Type
in your first and last names and click Ok.

The tutorial and Tip of the day may start in MetaStock. Simply close
the Tutorial and Tip. You should return to MetaStock. Then try to use
the program as normal to see if it works. Most likely you will have to
change the 500 to 1000 again to test this.

Subject: [EquisMetaStock Group] Problems with Exporting and Importing Indicator, Expert and Exploration.

Dear Roy/ Jose and Members,

While Exporting Indicator, Expert or Exploration, as soon as I hit Finish Button on Export/Import Wizard, It exports all DLLS from External Function DLLs folder along with the Folder and exports one MSxxFORMS.DTA file into the desired folder and immediately Metastock Hangs as soon as it exports the file and folder. After that it has to be closed forcefully, and it doesnt allow any control.

Similar thing happened when I tried to import the same file into Metastock, as soon as I hit the Finish Button, it hangs.

My issues are:

I have written a new Indicator that contains my trading system, The Expert and Explorations reference variables from Indicator.

First I tried to export all Indicator, Expert and Explorer files at once, then one file at a time. But of no use.

I used same name for all Indicator, Expert and Explorer initially, then I tried to change names for Expert and Explorer and exporting them, but again of no use.

Any suggestions? What could be the possible solution? Earlier I did not have this problem in importing and exporting. But a few days back I had to Format Hard Disk and installed Windows Again.

The operating system of my PC is Windows XP Home and I am using Metastock Pro v7.0 and MS Pro 9.2 QuoteCentre online. This problem occured in both versions.

Thanks and Regards,
