  Thanks, I have the document.

My reservations about Schaum's College Outline
series is that you need to work all or almost all the problems in a chapter as
the input to the problem depends on the solution(s) to previous problems.
there are other college outline type books around that seem to avoid this.
Otherwise, I have been using Schaum's for many decades. The best 2 that I
used were vector and tensor analysis, and the one on numerical
  analysis.

The document refers to a program. Is it
  available?

    Lionel,

    Files are attached.
No PW necessary just press return

Also, I have set up a private and unlisted
users group on Yahoo regarding this stuff and other related matters. The
location of the group is: <A
    href="http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PDFS_of_prices";>http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PDFS_of_prices

I set up the group on Saturday 8 Dec 2001
around 9AM Minnesota time so there might not be anything in it right now. So
feel free to go there and say something or the other. I am going to let
the others know about this. Again, the group is NOT listed publicly on
Yahoo. I want to try and keep the spammers, trolls, clowns, and other
    undesireable flora and fauna out.

    Regards,

I lost some of my recent mail and so I
haven't seen the postings that mentioned GLD. Can you either send
me a brief description of the GLD application, or if it is
simpler for you, could you send me a copy of GLD.zip (I can receive large
      files)?
      Thanks

        Subject: [Metastockusers] Info on
        GLD application
Hello all,First, I have had no reports of
problems installing the warez except from one person who tried to
install directly out of the zip file rather than "unzipping" to a
directory and then installing.Second, I have had no reports of
any unexpected features (bugs) except for a problem with a time
stamp which I created by compiling .... oh, whatever! ... I'll fix
it on next release.Third, some folk, apparently, have requested
a copy by putting their request IN this BB rather than E-mailing a
request to me. Ummmm.... you haven't gotten a copy for a couple of
reasons:A. I rarely haunt this or any other BB or
newsgroup.B. It is too much of a hassle to cut and paste e-mail
addresses from BB postings. I have a default e-mail engine which is
NOT the one I use for this GLD stuff so 'clicking' on an E-mail
address "don't do it" for me. There are a couple of other reasons
but that is the way it is anyway.Fourth, some of the first
requestors related that the results of the calcs was "way over their
head" or "too complicated, technical, arcane, [pick your
adjective]". As a result I composed a word document addressing this
matter. It is hardly exhaustive and meant only to fix some
intuitions on what the results mean, etc.  If you would like it
SEND me an e-mail and I'll shoot it back. Later requesters
already  received it - "About GLD.zip"Fiifth, some folk
sent a request directly to me and didn't get a copy. One evening I
inadvertently exceeded Qwest's server limit with a stack of replies
and the ones at the top of the stack got rejected. Don't know which
ones. Also, some folks' mail servers won't accept the 3.5 Meg file
and it didn't get through. If that happened e-mail me and I'll break
it into "floppy" size - when/if I can get to it.Finally, this is
starting to get a little "out of hand". Depending on the continuing
number of requests I may say t'hell with it and that is the end of
that. I am beginning to understand why people charge money for stuff
        <G>For now E-mail is WACG*QWEST.NET  where '*' is the
'@' symbol. Again, depending on request load that address might
simply disappear. - See? I think ahead!Regards and Rock
