Mike:

Looks like a nice program. Do you use it?
If so, it would or great interest to learn how it compares
to Metastock? Also, is their free data update of good quality, and do
they provide historical data (how far back)?

For an

RE: A drastically revised and improved MS?
I
think exactly the same way as you but I got a VERY strong feeling that the
things you are hoping is just a dream, Because don't forget that Equis
is now from Reuters and what does Reuters sell ? Correct data ! So it
is very logical they will and are already taking that pad. Last
upgrade what were the new features apart the useless systems which are
password protected, yes Data on demand.

So
I believe he can only dream of the MS what is used to be. And a very
bummer is that Supercharts seem to be of the market, is that correct ? Other
ways we don't have no where to go. What would be a good alternative
?

past and still have them filed somewhere, it wouldn’t take much effort to
send them off again. That’s what I’m going to do. And then see where the

me personally, the next major release (whenever that may be) is going to
be the make or break. If they really improve the program, I’ll stay
forever and continue upgrading, buying their addins and data…If they put
all their effort into making it a “Tradestation.com” offering (making it
an online subscription using only their proprietary data and brokerage
house of their choice, etc)
to try to suck more $$ out of us, I’m history. I’ll move to AmiBroker or
something else. I’ve always thought Metastock was the best charting
package, but not the best analysis package. Again, with a few
improvements, done with the user (and power user) in mind, they would be
the best.
