Not only is it not integrated you are pretty much forced to keep duplicate
data; so it is not the optimal solution, which is to have better data
maintenance within MS. There are basically two types of data sources, one
where historical data is static (you have to apply split corrections
yourself) and one where historical data is dynamic (errors and splits are
corrected for you automatically). If you use the former, you must have an
intelligent means of managing the data. My solution requires less work
(run the query against the splits table and the historical data table and
rebuild your MS databases) than with the Downloader (manually adjust each
one), although a macro program such as BigMac might work for this, using
a script to build your macro code from the splits data.

One other thing you gain when your historical data is in Access (or any
relational database) is the ability to apply filters you might find
difficult to create in MS as studies or indicators, such as correlation
between many stocks, groups, indices, etc.

No argument from me on this point.

Subject changed, in case there is interest in further discussion.
