Ralph:

There is the Pareto rule, aka the 80/20 rule.

It goes something like this: in any sales organization 80% of the sales are
made by 20% of the salespersons. To paraphrase this a little, in our group
80% of the useful information is generated by 20% of the participants.
Its a fact of life.

I have found that the benefits of the useful contributions outway the
disbenefits of the others. Many of the questions posed by help seekers help
me to understand and notice thing about Metastock that I had overlooked.

My suggestion is to be patient, use your delete key and/or use a filter to
reject unwanted diatribes (mostly they seem to come from the same source(s)).

Even on the professional newsgroups, like engineering and science, you will
sometimes find off the wall questions and off the wall diatribes.
