Hi,

As a relatively silent member of the list (living in the UK and only
trading on home turf, and much of the chat is on US stocks) I thought
I would tell you about my big mistake, I buy concept stocks! But
one day I feel they will come right!

The problem is gambling on the big one rather than taking more
reliable but smaller profits.

Below are shoort details of what tempted me, should you wish to
examine my follies!

Concept stock No 1:

Self sealing Sytems is a company in the UK that has invented and
patented a technique for balloons that avoids all that fiddely
knotting of the end after you have blown the balloon up. As a
plus they stay inflated for longer as there is less air leekage.

I bought them at floatation 65 pence. They are now 17.5p.
The market cap is 1M GBP. They have signed lisence agreements with
a US balloon maker, and hope to sign up more. Things were going OK
in Europe until the largest balloon maker here went bust.

Still I wait for action and sitting on a paper loss, big enough to
save the rain forests. What no stop loss !!!

Concept stock No 2:

Not put off by this experience, I have bought another concept stock.
This one (RMS Communications) has a patented technology that
enables electricity companies to read your meter down the mains
cables that bring you your electricity. They therefore not have to
visit your house (goodbye meter-man!)

In the UK 1.5M meter are replaced every year. At two hundred pounds
a meter, that adds up to 1.5M*200*10% profit = 30M profit a year. The
market cap of this company is 30M. And this is only the UK, imagine
the world wide sales.

Sadly I seem to be the only person imagining!

However, I am even on this one, perhaps this is because I bought
only a couple of days ago!

later
