Guy,
When I'm getting ready to enter a position, I don't pay any attention
to when earnings are going to come out. My thinking is that's just part of
the normal environment that influences stocks to run in channels. However,
if I have a good profit in a stock and it's close to my target, I have been
know to close the position short of the target just before an earnings
report <G>.

Jim,
When you trade the channel, do you watch out to avoid trading just
before a company reports quarterly results?

The reason I ask, is that Pairgain Tech (PAIR) was at the top of its
downtrend channel two days ago, and I considered shorting it. I
didn't, partly because it was due to report.

Since they reported poor results, now I wish I *had*. :-(
