IRL creates, or adds to, MetaStock data folders.  The data is then no
different than any other MetaStock data file.  Any file received in
ASCII format, which I believe QP's file is, should then be converted
into your MetaStock files.

As far as "extortion" I will only say that is not the case.  There are
many issues that always come into play with all third party vendors, be
they data vendors or other types of software vendors.  I am sure
management here at Equis looks at many factors that the support
department and you are not privy to.
