For data vendor try http://www.quotes-plus.com/ . Quite a few people (me,
too) use it. It's cheap, pretty good, accessible both by phone and Web, but I
am not sure about Canadian exchanges' data.
As for software, Metastock is very good, though on this list we like to
complain about this and that, perhaps just to keep Equis up and running :-) .
