I bought this program to generate indices with a selected group of stocks. I wrote IRL to find out how to change a stock symbol and or name. As the e-mail copy below states it is not possible and they are sorry if it is an inconvenience. This becomes necessary to keep current names or and symbols. Just wanted to alert others using this program of this shortcoming. Perhaps if others find this need also, IRL may modify their program.

Between quarterly updates is it possible to correct a stock for a symbol change and for an name
change. I have not been able to find in your help files an method of accomplishing this. Any information
or instructions you may provide to me will be appreciated.

The IRL database cannot be changed by the user at this time. Symbol changes, name changes,
industry group changes, etc. can only be done by Industry Monitors and distributed on a quarterly
basis. Sorry if this is an inconvenience.
